This limited-edition skateboard triptych features a reproduction of Yoshitomo Nara in 2020 artwork Light Haze Day. The work reflects the artist’s search for a new stylistic direction: patchworks of shimmering color that are reminiscent of French modernist landscape painting. Nara has devised an almost iridescent hue that departs from past work, signaling an emotional shift that may have taken place during the pandemic.
The Yoshitomo Nara Light Haze Days Skateboard Triptych is produced by The Skateroom, a platform for promoting, selling and producing art on skateboards that supports youth-empowering organizations, and is made from seven-ply Canadian maple wood.
